The Controversial Aspects of Christianity

Christianity is a religion that focuses on the power of God. Jesus was a miracle worker. He healed people, cured diseases, and cast out demons. His followers also claim to have the same power. However, some people doubt this claim. There are many aspects of Christianity that are controversial.

According to the New Testament, baptism is one of the most important parts of becoming a Christian. On the Day of Pentecost, Peter proclaimed to the crowds, “Repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and you will receive the Holy Spirit.” Paul was baptized and called on the name of Christ to be saved.

In the first century, followers of Christ performed deliverance ministry. They would cast out demons and unclean spirits and preach the gospel. They would also bind strong men who were the captives of demonic powers. Jesus taught that when these powerful spirits were cast out, the Kingdom of God would manifest. And when the Kingdom of God manifested itself in someone, it would be a sign of His power.

As the Church spread from Jerusalem, the disciples traveled throughout Palestine to preach the message of Christ. The disciples included Philip, who had recently been ordained as a deacon. Like his predecessor, Stephen, Philip had great faith in Christ and was used to heal people, cast out demons, and perform miracles.
