Your Spiritual Gifts Part 2 – The Role of a Prophet
There are five principle roles that God has anointed today’s believers to fulfill in today’s Church. As a young believer who is strong in the faith I have been called into the role of a Prophet.
Everything Will Be Thrown Down!“Jesus said ‘Do you see these great buildings?’ Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.'” (Mark 3:2) It is such an offensive thing to say! Oh, I know that nothing in permanent in this life and that the greatest of our human institutions and heroic achievements will eventually pass and go the way of all flesh, but I really didn’t want to be confronted with that just now!.
Proof of an Intelligent Creator and His Purpose of HumankindAccording to science every physical occurrence has a cause. This implies that the first physical occurrence has a cause, which implies a Prime Cause non-dimensional of time-space. The orderly universe implies that the Creator is Orderly. An Orderly Creator implies that the Creator’s “Life’s Instruction Manual” has been available to man at least since the beginning of recorded history.
The Tree of Life – A Cure For Bittered WatersWe are familiar with the story of Moses leading the people of Israel out of bondage in Egypt. One of their most critical times during this journey was when they had been three days without water. How their hearts beat with joy when they came to Marah and saw water! Just as quickly as their hearts become joyful, despair came again because the waters were too bitter to drink. All of us, sooner or later in life, come to Marah where we find bitter waters in the cup of human experience.
Life is a Box of Chocolates – Not!Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? (Job 38:2) Yes, I’m quoting God from the book of Job, chapter 38, second verse – a book that Ive finally decided, reluctantly, needs to be looked at. I say reluctantly because it’s a depressing book, and depressing not only because it deals with the series of depressing events that befall the story’s main character, but depressing too because the man’s search for an answer to his problems never gets a result that I find satisfying.
End Times, Last Days, Latter Days Or End of the AgeThe Biblical explanation of the differences between these terms. Includes reference to the original Greek and Hebrew for a deeper understanding.
No Rich People in Heaven“Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
Your Spiritual Gifts Series – Part 1 – The ApostleThe role of the Apostle to some Christians has passed away with the last disciple 2000 years ago. Yet there are Apostles today and so this teaching is a little about the Apostle in the Five-fold ministry offices mentioned in the Bible. You can get deeper teaching than this in other places if you look long and hard but suffice to say here, this will be a good start for the novice to see if they fit the role of the Apostle.
Hanukkah – A Miracle of God’s Love – History Part 1December is the time when the Western world seems to be divided by two celebrations. They are culturally different, yet they both reflect a miracle – the miracle of God’s love.
Mayan End Time Prediction 2012 is Just Another Meaningless Event in the Cycle of Human HistoryMan’s fascination with the future throughout human history is relevant when it is viewed through the lens of a Cristian understanding of history. Since the Christian God, who created all things for Himself, is the only true God, it makes sense that all men have an interest in the things that God revealed in His word. God’s word is full of substance about the future of man. It is testimony to the truth of scripture that even pagan civilizations demonstrate an interest in the doctrines of Christian scripture.
Are Non-Christians and Atheists Evil People?Just because someone doesn’t share the same beliefs as you or practice them with you, would this be wrong and evil? I know that I’m not going to get the same opinion from every Christian or religious follower all over the world, but I would like to share something with you if you got a moment.
Are Religions Like Christianity Just a Phase That We Go Through? When I was younger, I believed in Christianity and everything it stood for, because I hadn’t ever been exposed to anything else. Once I started to learn that there were a few problems with Christianity, it wasn’t long before I wasn’t a Christian anymore.
