Blessed Are the Meek
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus first proposed eight cardinal virtues that mark and measure a Christian life and ministry. These are called the Beatitudes, and they are not what the unbelieving world typically considers virtuous. The third is “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth (Mt 5:5).”
