Christianity is the world’s largest religion, based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth. It has 2.38 billion followers worldwide.

Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God. He redeemed mankind through self-sacrifice on the cross. The miracles that he performed proved that he was the promised Messiah.

Some of the miracles that Jesus performed included healing the sick and raising the dead. His ministry also included preaching the good news to the poor. Many people believed that he was able to free those who were bound by demons.

Jesus also taught in synagogues in Galilee. He performed many healings in the first century. In fact, the Gospels are brimming with healing stories.

While the Bible does not specify that the miracles of healing were a prerequisite for salvation, most New Testament writers assert that the miracles were proof that Christ was powerful enough to defeat evil spirits. As a result, believers will experience more divine healings as they grow in faith.

Jesus dealt headlong with evil in the hearts of men. His miracles revealed his divine nature and demonstrated his mastery over demonic forces. These miracles also led people to recognize him as the Son of God and to glorify him.

While some Christians claimed to have unusual healing powers, many were caught using chicanery. The practice of exorcisms was common in Jesus’ day.

When the church was formed, healing was considered a crucial aspect of its mission. However, church leaders restricted the practice. Church members were expected to fulfill that aspect of the mission.
