The Importance of Baptism

The Bible is full of references to the importance of baptism. Peter told the multitude on the Day of Pentecost to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and those who do so receive the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul also received the gift of the Holy Spirit through baptism. Ananias led Paul to Christ, and he was baptized in the name of Christ. As a result, he was able to share the message of the Gospel with other people.

The first miracle Jesus performed was at a wedding feast in Cana of Galilee. Feasts could last several days, and the wine ran out. Jesus, who was not very interested in performing the miracle, was persuaded by his mother. The miracle won the hearts of the guests, and the disciples believed in him. But Jesus was under pressure to prove his divinity. This first miracle made His followers believe in him, and he began to select them as his apostles.

The apostles came to Jesus, and he appointed them twelve apostles. These men were James son of Zebedee, John the brother of James, Boanerges, and Andrew. Simon the Canaanite was also one of them. The apostles were called to be his ambassadors and to preach the gospel. The apostles, who were the foundation of the church, were the first disciples. They preached the Gospel and helped others.
