Don’t go looking for demons!

The Dangers of Discipleship

Then Jesus and his disciples set out for the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he was asking his disciples, “Who do people say I am?” They answered him, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, and still others one of the prophets.” Then he began to ask them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ!” Jesus sternly ordered them not to tell anyone about him.

Rejected in the Ministry – “But, We Came to Help?”

“WHAT am I doing here?” might be the felt sentiment, as we feel abandoned–if not by people around us–certainly by God. Most people entering any sort of ministry (i.e. a venture for helping people) are flatly caught out at the lack of support they felt they otherwise might receive from certain quarters, during certain ‘seasons’. At times, those who are even at closest quarters can reinforce the supposed absence of God in the mix of a call we received from him. Then we begin to doubt this “call” ever happened.

Build on a Solid Foundation

Creator is the Rock. Deuteronomy 32:4. He is the solid foundation on which we can build, but how can we do this?

Asking the Right Questions

When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to Capernaum to look for Jesus. When they had found him on the other side of the sea, they asked him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?” Jesus replied to them, “Truly, truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate the loaves and were completely satisfied.

Sukkot – Unity Through Diversity – Or All the Same?

The festival of Sukkot contains within it two completely contrasting Mitzvot. It is odd that a festival so geared up for the idea of unity be filled with such contrasts.

So Who Invented God Anyway?

When we look back through antiquity it all gets a little wonky, but there seems to be a consensus that Zoroaster, from Iran/Pakistan, invented God. As a matter of fact, many of the middle eastern religions such as Judaism and Christianity can trace their roots directly back to this man. Even his pictures — pale face, brown beard, looking up toward heaven, resembles very closely the pictures representing Christ these days.

Bible Codes Exposed

We are told that the assassinations of Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and Yitzhak Rabin are predicted by secret Bible codes. Supposedly there are many other hidden messages encoded in the text that we should consider just as valid as Scripture. We believers “should be” paying specific attention to their enlightening meanings. To me, it seemed very suspicious these codes are only available to the generation that has a computer at their disposal and was unknown to all believers previous to now. If we had known of these predictions earlier, could we have prevented the assassinations?

By His Stripes Are We Healed?

We have been told (Isaiah 53:5) and (1 Peter 2:24) have some great significance connected with miraculous physical healing. All you need is enough faith, claim that the stripes Yeshua took were for your bodily healing and you’ll be healed. There are even some who would go so far as to imply that Yeshua took 39 stripes and there are 39 main human physical diseases. So He took a stripe for each and every disease thus defeating all sickness of mankind. Check out what I found. First of all, there is no verse that states how many times Yeshua was scourged.

Can You Find Evidence For Intelligent Design

Intelligent design is a type of religion that many people think about. It is hard for them to find any sort of evidence for it.

Jesus Redeemed Many

Jesus said he was only sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Mt 15:24. What did he mean by that?

Mixed Marriages

Paul turned his attention from the marriages of believers to what we call mixed marriages, where one marriage partner is not a believer. This is a special circumstance and calls for special treatment.

Seek and Ye Shall Find, Some Will

Most of the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus live in a state of apathy, in that they are not seeking truth so much as just living in a state of “continuing as things are.” If we continue living in darkness and do not seek truth, we will not see God.
