Is Christianity Really Christian?
Christianity has been around for quite some time. But how can you be sure it is truly Christian? This question is complicated by several factors. For one, the early Christians did not perform miracles, such as feeding the 5,000 people or walking on water. Instead, they were given the power to heal and raise the dead. This was all done to prove that they were messengers of God. Those who claim to speak for God need to prove they are who they say they are.
As Christians, we are called to be instruments of God. Our spiritual lives are not defined by our intellect. The apostles were a small group of people who possessed limited knowledge. Hence, we can only assume they knew little about what they were doing. This limited group is not representative of the entire Church. But African Christians have mastered this art and have made Christianity their own. The apostles, in turn, are the most representative of the Church.
According to Christian teachings, the human person consists of body and soul. Jesus came to save the soul. We are not born with these two things. But they were created together. But our bodies and minds were corrupted due to the Fall. The result of original sin was a block between God and mankind. Christ came to heal the human race and restore them to communion with the Creator. But how can this be accomplished? – What is the meaning of suffering in Christian doctrine?
