Miracle Healing in Christianity

If you want to make a positive difference in the world and transform people’s lives, then you must understand the gospel of Jesus Christ. This teaching is a part of Christianity, but it is often overlooked. Most professing Christians do not understand this teaching. They are influenced by the anti-Christian propaganda that is prevalent in the media and in intellectual circles. In addition, most churchgoers do not study the Bible. Instead, they follow the traditions and teachings of men. That’s why most tent meetings are full of mass hysteria, but not of genuine healing.

The Twelve Disciples had the power to heal. They would pray over the sick and anoint them with oil. This prayer could save, heal and raise a person. It could also be used to forgive sins. This practice is rooted in the teaching of James. The apostle James wrote to his fellow believers that when a sick person receives faith-filled prayer from a priest, he would be healed.

The apostles performed many miracles. In Acts 2:22-23, we read of Stephen casting out demons, while Paul’s miracles at Ephesus were amazing. In Acts 13:6-12, God blinded a sorcerer for Paul. Similarly, there were many miracles that took place during the ministries of Moses, Elijah, and Elisha.
