“God would never have me. Because of what I have done, I just know God would never accept me.” Words like that are frequently voiced. They may be an excuse for avoiding God, but they may come from a lonely aching heart. So many people are deeply troubled with guilt and embarrassment and shame. They feel rejection and all of that may be very real, but there is an answer and people need to know that. When I meet those whose lives have been shattered by alcohol and drugs and debt and immorality and corruption in some form or other, sometimes they are so ashamed that it is difficult to find that starting point but there has to be some starting point if the person wants help to rebuild that life and recover.
Live Forward With PurposeThe direction of God is always up and forward and the way up for the Christian is always down in prayer. We must surrender our lives under the lordship of Jesus Christ, allowing Jesus to be Lord in all, of all and through all and he will develop us into what he has purposed for us to be.
