The biblical book of Daniel has remarkably accurate predictions about conflicts between Egypt and Syria that happened about 400 years after Daniel’s supposed lifetime. Many claim the prophecies were actually written by somebody else after the events, not 400 years before. Such critics ignore the fact that Daniel accurately predicted three more empires after the Babylonian one and correctly predicted that there would then be continuous division in those territories, with no future empires at all. That has held true for the following 2000+ years. He also accurately predicted the coming of the Messiah and his subsequent death, plus the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple. Nobody can claim Daniel was alive when any of those events occurred.
