What Is Christianity?
Christianity is a religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that the Bible is God’s Word, which has been inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. They also believe that Jesus is the Son of God, died for their sins, and rose from the dead.
Deliverance, Casting out demons and healing the sick
Christianity teaches that it is possible to receive supernatural help for physical and spiritual ailments. It is important for Christians to seek medical advice from a qualified health professional as well as to ask God to heal them if they are sick.
In the Book of Acts, Christians were empowered by the spirit of God to spread the gospel of Jesus throughout the world. They were also given power to forgive sins on earth by the Holy Spirit.
Christians are commanded to love one another and serve each other (Matthew 22:37-40). They are also admonished to be good church members, to encourage one another’s faith, share each others burdens, provoke one another to love and good works, and pray for each other’s restoration, spiritual help, and concerns.
Christianity also explains that those who follow the laws of the Bible and who practice good behavior will have an afterlife. Christians believe that they will be in Heaven when they die, while those who do not live a righteous life will spend eternity in Hell.
