The Christian’s View on Miracle Healing and Evangelism

Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God. The Holy Spirit indwells the Christian soul. This empowerment allows the Christian to perform His most holy and priestly ministries. In this sense, he is God’s ambassador on earth. In the Christian’s everyday life, the presence of evil spirits can sometimes interfere with fulfilling his purpose in life.

Christians are taught to distinguish between false prophets and true prophets by the inward testimony of the Spirit. Prophecy is spoken about in various ways throughout Scripture. However, the New Testament does not elevate prophecy to the status of divine revelation. Hence, Christians are encouraged to seek the counsel of church leaders before accepting any potential prophecy.

In addition, charismatic Christians focus on evangelism, conversion, and persistence of the saved. Moreover, charismatic Christians believe that they are in a battle with demonic powers in the end-times. The demons of Satan are real and hold sway over entire nations. This battle between God and Satan is taking place in the world and the Christian must fight against it.

Christian leaders are expected to preach the Gospel to those who are suffering from evil spirits. Those who are in the grip of these evil spirits must be delivered by the power of Jesus. Jesus showed his genuine love to those in satanic bonds and made efforts to deliver them. The church is expected to carry out these aspects of his mission and should model their ministry after the apostolic ministry.
