Miracle Healing in Christianity

Christianity is the world’s largest religion. With 2.38 billion followers, it is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion. Its roots are in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

The Bible records the many healings and miracles performed by Jesus and the apostles. They cast out many demons, healed the sick and raised the dead. During the first century, the practice of exorcism was common. Whether you believe it or not, evil spirits are real and exist in the world. If you have the Holy Spirit in your life, these demons can’t settle in you.

The practice of exorcism is still a standard part of Christian life. Christians should confront these demonic forces head-on. Many people struggle with evil spirits. People who don’t have the indwelling of God can be possessed by these demons.

In Mark 5: 1-20, Jesus speaks of His authority over demons. He also describes how two demon-possessed men approached Him. These men were begging him to take them with him. At first, he told them to be quiet. But when he saw their faith, he gave them the authority to cast out the demons.

When Jesus and the apostles went to the city of Iconium, they encountered a man with an unclean spirit. This man had been bound with chains and lived in tombs. Everyone was afraid when they saw the demon-possessed man. However, Jesus encouraged the man to follow him.

After Jesus healed the man, he asked him if he would like to be clean. The man said he had no doubt that Jesus could make him clean.
