Christianity and Miracle Healing
Christianity and Miracle Healing
Christianity is a belief in God, the Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. This belief is based in Scripture. In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells Peter that he received the knowledge of his Messiahship from his Father in heaven. He then opens the eyes of his disciples in the proper time. Peter learns that Jesus was the Messiah of Nazareth. But before this divine revelation dawns, the demons prevent the disciples from divulging the truth about Jesus.
The Twelve disciples, or apostles, were given the ministry of healing. These disciples were commanded by the Savior to preach and heal. Their first evangelistic mission was to heal people who were sick. They were also called to be the leaders of their churches. But they were not the only ones who were entrusted with this ministry.
The gospel writers distorted Christ’s language to fit the preconceived notions of his time. This led many liberals to believe that Christ shared the liberal views of his time. Furthermore, Christ’s words regarding demons and Satan are unreliable. Many gospel writers claim that Christ cast out demons, but this is not true.
In many cases, Christian leaders preach violently. These practices may cause violent shaking, vomiting, and writhing on the ground. Some people may even lose consciousness.
