The Basics of Christianity
Christianity is a religion that believes in the life, teachings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the largest religion on the planet, and is practiced by people all over the world.
The Basics of Christianity
Christians believe that God created the universe and all things in it, but humans have a limited ability to make right choices and live holy lives. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died to take away the sins of the world and restore humanity’s relationship with God.
Jesus taught his followers that he was the promised Messiah, or messenger, sent by God to free his people from slavery to sin and death. He also taught them that they should follow him in love and obedience.
The early Christians believed that Jesus was both fully human and fully divine, and they worshiped him as the incarnation of God. The earliest Christians also believed that Jesus came to earth to show his father how much he loved them and to teach them about God’s love for the world.
Casting out demons is a very important aspect of a Christian’s faith. Demons can enter a Christian’s body or brain in a number of ways. Some may have entered prior to their salvation or were never cast out after they were born again – this is called “carryover.”
Healing the sick is another important part of a Christian’s faith. The Bible teaches that healing is possible through prayer and belief in the power of God to heal the sick.
