Discouragement, Loneliness and Avoidance
Discouragement, loneliness and avoidance are all interlinked. It starts with discouragement and ends in avoidance. It’s vital we draw our encouragement from God when we feel discouraged by work, the world, family, church, etc. This encouragement is eternally available through God’s Word. Simply it works!
Universalism – Christ in AllThe little word “all” can be very misleading if not seen in context. Here are Paul’s thoughts about the salvation of mankind from Philippians and Colossians.
The Virtue of Patience: What Does the Lord Have to Say?Ah, the virtue of patience. It seems that most days we are confronted with challenges that test our patience… we get stuck in traffic on the way to work… we wait for our next vacation… we wait to pick up our children after school, etc. And it seems at times that the world is moving faster, yet we are in turn left with more to do and less hours to do it.
Universalism in Paul: Reconciled and SeparatedReconciliation is a Christian doctrine. That all will be reconciled is not. Separation is another doctrine of the church, weakened by Universalist teaching.
Daily Christian Devotionals: 10 Great Ways to Witness to OthersDaily Christian Devotionals: What are they? It is important in our walk of faith that we take time daily to study the Word, but it is equally important that we take time to share what we have learned with others. It is especially important to witness to those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their personal savior. Here are 10 great ways to witness to others:
Jesus Gives Us The Gift Of His HolinessJESUS GIFT OF HOLINESS GIVEN TO US – WHAT DO WE KNOW OF HOLY? Ephesians 1: 3-14 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Dedicating Our Suffering to GodSome trials are self-induced, like the consequences of foolishness, and some aren’t, like a tragic loss or conquest against us seemingly beyond our control. However they come about, we suffer. The choice we have is how do we suffer? Do we languish or flourish? Given the choice, that’s not much of a choice.
Universalism and Paul: The Judgments of GodSome judgments from God are corrective, some eternal. It is important to see the difference, as we study the subject of Universalism in the first letter of Paul to the Corinthians.
After God’s Own HeartGod not only loves using ordinary people to do extraordinary things, he insists upon it – to shame the proud. And the difference is love. The desire to make ourselves available in the realm of serving others comes from love; not from ambitious gain. The characteristics of the available – those that have the ability to avail themselves for service in God’s Kingdom – are faithfulness, openness, a teachable nature, and a servant heart.
Our Circumstances Do Not Change Who We AreOur circumstances do not change who we are but because of who we are; we can change the circumstance. The key is to know who we are in Christ Jesus.

Encouragement From the God of AgesWe all need a spark of encouragement from time to time. And the truth is life, no matter how big it is, cannot deliver the type of encouragement we often need. There are not always the encouragers about, ready and willing to pick us up in our heap. But encouragement from the God of Ages comes in this knowledge:
