The Rapture of the Church at the End Times

When Christians talk about the return of Jesus Christ in the End Time, they use the word “Rapture.” These days “rapture” commonly means “ecstatic joy,” but it has a different meaning as well. At its root is the Latin rapere which translates into English as “to seize.” It refers to the moment when Jesus comes back in the clouds of heaven, a great trumpet sounds and all deceased Christians who have ever lived are resurrected in powerful, eternal bodies, then living Christians are instantly transformed and “caught up together with them in the clouds” (1 Thes. 4:15-17).
