Is Mary an Eternal Virgin?

Not only do some teach that Mary is an eternal virgin, but some also think she is a co-redeemer with Jesus. Believe it or not, some teach that Joseph and Mary’s mother also are eternal virgins!

Saint Frances Cabrini and Louisiana

Mother Cabrini loved the people of Louisiana. She could not be intimidated by anyone. Her time in New Orleans was proof positive of that. She was asked to work with the Bishop of New Orleans, to rid the state of the tremendous discrimination against the Italians there.

How to Study the Bible

Don’t Just Read The Bible, Study It. Why should you study the Bible in the first place? You’ve seen the movie, right? In most sermons the pastor reads the verses aloud, so why should you read them yourself?

I, Wisdom – Proverbs 8-John 16:5-15!

Imagine the power and the importance of having wisdom. Proverbs 8: 11 says Wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot be compare to wisdom. Wisdom teaches and instructs every wise man to stay away from evil. Proverbs 8:12 confirms that, “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion”.

Three Classic Fables of Secularized Christianity

The word “Christian” has lost its true meaning. You can be a “Christian” socialist, a “Christian” drug lord, a “Christian” homosexual, a “Christian” abortionist and so forth. The truth is, those who are not living according to the teaching of the Christian Bible are entertaining fables. They are not Christians. This article is giving three modern-day fables that are passed off as “Christian.” I trust you will not find yourself entertaining one of these fables. If you are, please do not be fooled. It is time for you to come to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Rapture of the Church at the End Times

When Christians talk about the return of Jesus Christ in the End Time, they use the word “Rapture.” These days “rapture” commonly means “ecstatic joy,” but it has a different meaning as well. At its root is the Latin rapere which translates into English as “to seize.” It refers to the moment when Jesus comes back in the clouds of heaven, a great trumpet sounds and all deceased Christians who have ever lived are resurrected in powerful, eternal bodies, then living Christians are instantly transformed and “caught up together with them in the clouds” (1 Thes. 4:15-17). This is the Rapture of the Church.

Civil Magistrates and God’s Law – Part Two

In my last article I stated that civil magistrates are ministers of God. This according to the plain words of Romans 13:4. I ended the article by pointing out that the logical conclusion to this principle is that civil magistrates are supposed to rule according to the law of God. The question is, who decides how to apply the law of God to a society?

The Way That Seems Right – The Social Church in America

Sound theology is being supplanted daily by the church’s drive toward a more social gospel. Fighting poverty, aids, hunger and homelessness are now considered more important than getting people saved. Are we on the right track?

Crucifying the Laws of Leviticus

Not every Christian knows this, but when Jesus died, he got rid of the old laws in the book of Leviticus. Christians were no longer required to follow these laws, even though the Old Testament is still attached to the New Testament, forming the Holy Bible, only adding more confusion to Christianity.

Should We Be Skeptical of Oral Traditions?

When I was in the eighth grade I had an English teacher who told a small story to the first student on one side of the classroom and instructed each student to turn to the student next to them and tell the same story that they heard, exactly as they heard it. The students were seated in alphabetical order and if you notice, my last name starts with a V and this put me towards the end of the storytelling process. It took about 15 minutes and when the story finally arrived to the last student, my teacher told…

Send God a Text!

Each day we are in communication with other people, why not with God? Phone calls, emails, instant messages, texts, why not send God a text or two, or three, during the day? We tell people throughout the day what we are thinking about or planning, why not tell God too?

Creation Shouts Out!

Darwin himself said in his Origin of Species, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.” There is only one conclusion that continues to make any sense. Thanks to science we know that time and our universe had a beginning. Things do not pop into existence without a cause, out of nothing.
