Miracle Healing and Christian Deliverance
Miracle Healing and Christian Deliverance
One of the core tenets of Christianity is that we know God. Yet, knowing God requires that we live by His commandments, which may not always be easy to live by. Such commandments include loving our enemies, forgiving transgressors, and living holy. Christ, the ultimate saviour, lived a holy life. We must emulate His example, but that requires a tremendous effort.
In addition to that, the Bible teaches us that the healings of the prophets and apostles were only granted to believers. The apostles never performed miracles like feeding the 5,000 or walking on water. In contrast, they were given the power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead, which were meant to demonstrate that they were true messengers of God. However, most churchgoers still cling to the traditions and teachings of men, which often lack authentic healing.
While evangelists and prophets were unique apostolic gifts, Christians should be wary of the devil. The devil has a singular purpose: to kill, steal, and destroy. Christians must resist these forces by acquiring spiritual weapons. Paul warns us not to let them dominate us and instead, use our spiritual weapons against them.
The apostle Paul did not only perform exorcisms, he also healed people. In fact, he did so when his friend Epaphroditus was suffering from a demon. Those who are possessed by demons are often not able to live without it. In contrast, believers in Christ can experience healing if they are faithful to his teachings.
