Miracle Healing in Christianity

Christianity is the world’s largest religion, with around 2.38 billion followers worldwide. It is a monotheistic, Abrahamic faith based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

The bible is the foundation of Christian faith. It contains scriptures inspired by God, and they are backed by divine authority.

There are many miracles associated with Christianity. However, a miraculous healing is not the only sign of God’s blessings. In fact, some of these may have been the works of an evil spirit.

Among African Christians, reports of miracles are ubiquitous. As the gospel advances, many are awed by God’s power.

One of the most impressive demonstrations of God’s handiwork happened when He shortened the days of the elect. Another impressive feat was when the apostles exorcised demonic spirits.

Many of the most memorable experiences in the Bible occurred when Jesus was on the move. One of these was when Peter visited saints in Lydda.

Similarly, another memorable experience involved a demon-possessed man. His plight was a cause for both fear and joy. Thankfully, Jesus intervened.

Other notable miracles include the healing of a blind man. Several other notable events also happen, but most of them are in the realm of the mundane.

In fact, a number of stories in the Bible are more of a coincidence than they are of any real significance. But the ones that are worth mentioning are the aforementioned.

When a man had an unclean spirit, he would often be bound with shackles. Fortunately, a minister of Jesus named Boanerges had the ability to break the shackles in pieces. This gave him the power to rebuke the unclean.
