The Future of Christianity
Christianity is a religion that teaches that Jesus was God, come to live among us as a human. He died on the cross for sinners and was resurrected to life after three days.
People have the authority to cast out demons in the name of Jesus. Those who have problems with demons and witchcraft should turn to their pastors or church leaders for help.
Healing the sick
Scripture makes many statements about the availability of God’s power to heal the sick. These statements are not fanciful, or based on lofty ideals, but rather speak of the truth that God is present in our lives and active in our world.
Throughout the Bible, we see examples of God’s power to heal the sick. It is often accompanied by a prayer offered in faith.
In the gospel of James, for example, a sick person is encouraged to call the elders of the church and ask them to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of Jesus. The prayer is powerful and effective.
The church is called to be a place of worship, where believers meet together to share the good news of the gospel. They are also taught to love their neighbors as themselves, and to show hospitality.
The number of Christians is a lot larger in the Global South than in the Global North, and the population of Christians is growing rapidly across the world. This is a positive sign for the future of Christianity.
