Corporate philanthropy is also known as corporate giving, and is simply where a company donates some of their profits, or their resources, to a non profit organization. This is often handled directly by the company itself, but it can also be done through a company foundation. Normally businesses donate money, but some do choose to offer the use of their facilities, property, services or advertising support.

When You Are In Misery, Who Cares?

The book of Hebrews was written to Hebrew Christians who were struggling with their faith and may have been considering a return to Judaism. These Christians were most likely undergoing fierce persecution from the Jews and Romans. Jesus Christ had not returned to establish His kingdom, and the people needed to be reassured that Christianity was true and that there is sufficiency in Christ. These Christians were looking for some word to lift their failing faith; some certainty to anchor their sinking souls; some promise to keep them steady and their spirits strong; and some presence greater that their deepest grief.

A Miracle at a Time!

There is little need to explain the challenges confronted by a family who need to limit their consumption of water to just a few gallons per day, most of them hygiene related challenges which at times end up in fatal consequences. But one of the biggest problems for such families comes during the rainy seasons when the waters become contaminated by the rough currents and floods, and many kids get sick with a number of bacterial deceases which often end up in death.
