Miracles and Christian Faith

The Christian faith is the belief that Jesus is the Son of God. This faith is often based on stories about Jesus healing people. These stories are often considered miracles and are widely spread among Christians around the world. In fact, miracles are a central part of the Christian experience in Africa. One well-known work on miracles in Africa is Miracles of Africa, written by Craig Keener. But is this religion really based on miracles?

Interestingly, the apostolic gifts of Jesus and the apostles included evangelists and prophets. It is in this context that we learn about the role of these apostolic gifts. Jesus also warns that these apostolic gifts can be used to lead people astray. The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate authority in this faith. If we believe that the Holy Spirit possesses us, then we will not be led astray by false prophets or christs.

According to the Bible, people can pray to God for healing and deliverance. Miracles are also a part of Christian ministry. While God is free to heal anyone, we must walk in faith to receive His healing. The Bible describes a sick man and his healing as an example of walking in faith. Several examples of this are Trophimus and Epaphroditus in 2 Timothy 4:20, Paul and Timothy in 2 Corinthians 12:5, 7-10, and the apostle James had a miraculous healing.
