Praying in the Morning
Perhaps you’ve wondered, what kind of legacy I’m leaving my offspring?, What kind of legacy I left my ancestors, because it seems that history repeats itself generation after generation?, I can change the course of my life and that of my children? The answer is yes, and we can only do this if we take possession of the inheritance that the Lord Jesus Christ left us through his sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. They Are Waiting For You
One area in which many Believers fall short is the lack of understanding the difference between a Peacekeeper and a Peacemaker. What is the difference between the two?Is Jonah Just A Fish Story? Why Did Jesus Refer To Him As A Real Person?
Many try to defend the story of Jonah by sharing "real life" stories of whalers who had fallen overboard and were swallowed up only to be found alive a day or two later after the whale was harpooned. I don’t believe we don’t need to have evidence of a modern day Jonah to validate what the Bible says about Jonah. Nor do we need to see a modern miracle to validate any of the miraculous accounts in Scripture. The Frog Is Boiling!
When I was in high school my grade 12 science teacher Mr. McCullough told us that if you take a normal frog and place it in a pot of cold water and then place that pot on the stove and slowly turn up the heat, the frog will swim around in the pot and will not jump out as the water heats up. As a matter of fact a frog will become so accustomed to their environment outside their bodies that they can literally “boil” inside as the water temperature approaches boiling, and still not jump out of the pot. This of course begs for a perfect analogy to our own lives. How similar is our lives to those of these frogs in pots of hot water? Have we become so comfortable to the status-quo around us that we are literally boiling to death inside our own pot of boiling water? Has our created environment around us lulled us into a warm state of coziness that everything is fine in the world, when in fact it is just about to boil over?It Is Finished – Well Now What?

The Parable of the Talents told in Matthew 25:14-30 is rich for reaching Atheists and Agnostics… it was for reaching me. As my faith grew so did my understanding. My talents, though they may be small, are sufficient. As I use my talents to their potential, I am given more. You Call That A Homily?

Imagine the story of humanity ending with the word, "And they all lived happily ever after." Could that be possible? Could it be that Christ Jesus the Lamb of God will ultimately be seen as a far greater success than the world of religion gives Him credit for? Is it possible that ultimately Jesus will receive all whom He paid for with his precious blood on the cross of Calvary? If He is the Savior, what portion of the saving is left on you?Club or Church? Of the Flesh or Spirit?
What is church for us? Is it mainly to grow in Christ together or merely to be together? Is it a club or church – “church” meaning Christ as the pivot and at the periphery, and all between? A good indication is how much we talk about God, things of faith, the tussles of life in truth, versus the mix of everyday life events – who’s winning the World Series, the swing of political affairs, and what we are doing on the weekend.God Has a Plan – But I’m Happy, I Don’t Need God!
