Miracles of Christianity

Approximately 2.38 billion people worldwide belong to Christianity. This religion is based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth. The Bible describes Jesus as God, and He demonstrated His power by performing many miracles.

Miracles include divine appearances of angels, animals speaking in extraordinary ways, nature obeying God’s authority, and people being healed. These events are daily occurrences, but they can also be major public displays. Miracles override natural laws and reveal God’s rule over creation.

Christians live by the power of the Holy Spirit. This power was revealed to them at their baptism. Christ gave authority to his followers to cast out demons and to heal the sick.

The Apostles had a limited amount of power and were not able to do miracles like walking on water or feeding the 5,000. The healings they did were not for the health of church members, but for those who were sick and needed help.

Jesus gave apostles power over demons, but not over nature. Jesus did not give them healing power like Philip did.

The apostolic Church regarded the development of medical science without apprehension. When they prayed for healing for a sick person, the prayers from the seen realm joined the prayers of the unseen realm.

Many people have become frightened of miracles and healings. Some conniving individuals have even used the name of Christ as a cover for unbiblical ideas and concepts. It is important for us to recognize that God’s miracles are not just a sign. They should inspire us and give us hope.
