What Is Christianity?
Christianity is a religion that centers on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Bible is the Word of God, and Christians believe that it is the ultimate authority for all matters of faith and practice (Deuteronomy 4:6; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). They believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died on the cross to pay for their sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead to bring salvation to all who will trust in him.
Evangelical Christians believe in the Holy Bible as the inspired, “God-breathed” Word of God and that it is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice (Deuteronomy 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-24; Hebrews 4:12). They believe that Jesus is the only way to God and that all who will accept him will be saved.
Deliverance from Demons and Other Spiritual Beasts
There are many well-meaning churches that use the term “deliverance” in their services, usually on a regular basis. However, these sessions tend to focus more on removing curses and other negative spiritual influences from the past rather than healing of any kind, even physically.
Casting Out Demons and Other Unclean Spirits
In the Bible, it says that Jesus cast out demons with a word. This is a general gift of the Holy Spirit to believers, but there are some who are especially gifted and anointed by the Lord for ministering in this area on a more regular basis.
