Miracle Healing and Christian Evangelization
Miracle Healing and Christian Evangelization
If we are to reach the world and save it from Satan, we must take the faith of Jesus Christ seriously. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the human race has been exposed to Christianity in sufficient doses to inoculate them against it. In addition, they have been infected with anti-Christian propaganda, which is prevalent in both the media and in academic circles. Therefore, evangelizing such a group of people will be much harder than reaching those who have never heard of Jesus.
In the gospels, the biblical view of a human person is that it includes both the body and soul. It is Jesus who came to save both the body and soul. He came to save the world from sin and raise the body and soul of those who are sick. The gospel accounts also mention that Jesus performed physical healings and exorcisms. However, we must understand that the church recognizes charisms as gifts to be used for the benefit of others.
The question of enemy acquisition is also an important consideration. This question of election and distinction has acquired enormous political valence, and the free gift of God’s anointing is subsequently conflated with the economy of election and distinction. As a result, the question of election and distinction has been conscripted into the realm of “apostolic election” and dominionist “reformation.”
