Clothesline Stories – Bible Storytelling Idea Number One
Need a creative way to tell your next Bible story? Then check out this fun idea using an everyday clothesline…
Jesus Was Never Too Busy to PrayHere is the scenario once again of a typical day in Jesus life. This is two days running here. All day he was with people, then later that night he was still going, then that night he had prayer and then the same night he walked on water and went to the ship.
From Inspiration to InstitutionRecently I began attending services at Spiritus Christi Church. Their community practices what Jesus taught rather than just talking about it. No “waa” here. That’s Hawaiian for all talk and no action. Thanks Bob and Carol.
Let Us Love in Deed and in TruthWe know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 3:14 We know!
When Abram Was 99 Years OldAbraham is 99 years old. This is incredible, I come across it in my family with my Grandparents and others – Oh, we’re too old to change. Here’s Abram at 99 years of age and he hasn’t been changed to Abraham yet.
Simply Obey GodYou know our actions show what we believe. Abram’s actions here showed what he believed. He believed God.
Abraham Demonstrated Faith by Doing What God Asked HimSo God’s come along and said to Abraham, Get out of your country, leave everything you know and go to a country you’ve never seen before and I’ll do all of these other things for you. Genesis 12:1-3 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them …
Faith Should Be Demonstrated by the Way We LiveThere seems to be a bit of a conflict sometimes in the scriptures. Paul earlier on said that we are saved by faith and not by works. Sometimes you read James and you think he is in conflict with Paul but the two go hand in hand.
A Simplistic Powerful FaithI guess the main thing I want to get across today is that not only is faith something that can be seen… Faith is not difficult… Don’t complicate the simplicity of faith… All You Need Is A Very, Very Simplistic Approach… And this is what we will see of Abraham as we read on today. We will discover Abraham had a very simplistic approach to faith but with dynamic results. We will see just how powerful this simplistic approach can be.
Why Do We Keep Believing in Christianity?I have one word for you, I know why most of us keep believing in Christianity, hope. We’re hoping for a better life, whether it’s in heaven or here on earth, but we’re hoping and praying that life will become better, as we remain faithful and believe that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
Do You Struggle in Life?Do you struggle in life with depression? Do you speak negatively of yourself, feel defeated, and suffer from low self esteem? Do you have feelings of shame and guilt? Are you driven by addictions to nicotine, alcohol, drugs, comfort eating or pornography? Have you been physically or emotionally hurt and have feelings of bitterness and unforgiveness that you are struggling with?
What Would Life Be Like Without God?First things first, there are plenty of God’s in the world today to worship, the God that I am talking about would be, any one of them. What would your life be like without God? If you don’t believe in God, you won’t be missing anything. However, if you do believe in God, this could leave you feeling empty inside.
