Let’s See Whose God is More Powerful
I propose a challenge, between the two largest religions in the world, that would be the Muslims and the Christians. Here’s what I’m suggesting and I don’t think it will require any guns, maybe a couple of shovels, a little bit of praying and some potting soil. Here’s my plan and I think it could save us a lot of trouble in the future.
Is God Going to Help Me? Do You Really Believe? If you’re a strong believer in Christianity, you will give God credit for everything in your life. However, how do you really know that he is the one helping you? I know that most Christians will give me a standard response when I ask this question, I can feel him working through me.
Church Courts, Hate Crimes and Moral DecayFirst, some history. Before Rome fell it was choked with a backlog of civil disputes in the Roman legal system. It could take years before a particular case came before a Roman judge. The Roman legal system was choking on the rampant immorality and illegality that contributes to the rot of empires by generating social conflict. Great nations are more often destroyed from within by moral decay long before they fall victim to invading armies.
The Value of Keeping SecretsDannah Gresh shares the story of her job at a marketing business, where they designed logos for businesses. It was a time consuming process to design the logos, so the company decided to hike their prices way up, in the hope that they would not have as many orders. They had been charging $1,250 and they increased the amount to $8,000.

Having Peace of Mind During Troubled Times – The Ministry of Peace 1“Master carest thou not that we perish?” Mk. 4:35-41. The storm was great, the waves were fierce, much water was pouring into the ship which threatened to sink the ship and there was confusion and panic everywhere as the occupants of the ship realized that they were at the grip of death. But someone was in the hinder part of the ship asleep on a pillow.
Going to Church is Not in the BibleThere is nothing righteous about a building. There is also nothing righteous about a home or a living room. Most people agree that the building where people meet is not the church. It’s funny though how 99 out of 100 individuals will emphatically nod their head and say “Right, the building is not the church.” But, then ten minutes later if you point to a religious building with a steeple on top and say, “What is that?” They’ll say, “It’s a church.”
Why Some Pastors and Churches Struggle While Others Are Thriving – So What’s Our Part?12 prosperous churches were applauded recently in a high profile Christian magazine for such successful ministries. I believe they are surely blessed by God and how nice that we can all share in the joy of their prosperity. I am concerned however with the condition of other ministers and ministries who are struggling with untold pressures in their personal as well as ministries. If we could ask God why some congregations and pastors are thriving while others are falling apart, what do you think he would say? Does God have favorites? Read on to get the answer.
The Saddest Jewish Holiday – Tisha B’AvThe ninth day of the Hebrew month of Av has come to be known as Tisha B’Av. It begins at sunset on the eighth of Av and ends at sunset on the ninth. It has come to be known as the saddest day in the Hebrew calendar, recognizing multiple tragedies that have occurred on that day throughout recorded history. Although Tisha B’Av is the saddest day of the Jewish calendar, it can also be considered, through careful reflection, as a day to be grateful for the survival of the Jewish people.
The Perfect Symmetry of God – The Genealogies! The Divine Providence of God is on full display throughout all history and in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. Time is just the canvas that God uses to play out His redemptive plan for His children. So, take comfort that God is in control of ALL things, and nothing is left to “chance”.
Get Out of Your Comfort Zone – Associate With the LowlyIt’s so easy to remain where we are comfortable. Our rounds of church, work, friends, and family are reassuring, pleasant, and peaceful. But Paul urges us to get out of our comfort zone and to “associate with the lowly.” Why? Consider these seven powerful reasons!
Do Our Children Need Jesus? One of the biggest tragedies of our society today is that so many children are growing up not only without knowing the love of Jesus, but having a fiercely negative view of religion. For many youngsters, religion has become synonymous with intolerance, bigotry and violence. In other words, the complete opposite of the true meaning of the gospels, is now the prevalent view in society. Satan’s work is done!
