Which Pastors Are Cult Leaders? Which Denomination Is A Cult? What Christian Artist Are Cultish?

The Broken Clock

A broken clock is right twice a day. That’s about often I think I’m 100 percent accurate. It’s the other 1438 minutes in the day that I feel like I’m trying to tell time by looking at the sun. It’s free will at noon and sovereignty of God at midnight and I’m hungry, so I know the time is in the middle of those two.

Layman’s Bible Commentary on Romans – Lesson VIII

Paul now specifically addresses the Jews, who might resist embracing the Gospel if they think it would mean they must renounce the law, and their allegiance to God. That the law couldn’t justify them, he has amply proved in chapters 3, 4, and 5. In this chapter, he explains that the law could not sanctify them, but the power to do so can only be found by the grace of God through the Gospel of Jesus. Jesus, in fulfilling the Law, canceled its further enforcement.

Layman’s Bible Commentary on Romans – Lesson VI

Three main points. 1. This relationship with Christ brings hope of eternal life. 2. It also brings persecutions and sufferings which tend to bring the Christian to a closer relationship with and dependence upon God. 3. God was looked to as our Heavenly Father. Christians as His children could depend on His love, forgiveness, and ultimate salvation.

When Does Life Begin?

Let us go to the Bible for some guidance on this. Take Luke Chapter 1 Verses 26 – 28 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

Layman’s Bible Commentary on Romans – Lesson V

To further prove the truth of God’s provision for man’s redemption through faith, Paul sets forth the case of the father and head of the Jewish nation, Abraham. He was a heathen before God called him, and made a covenant with him. God gave him many blessings and promises of future blessings above all men. This was before he did anything for God. This included the Gentiles, because Abraham was told that he would be the father of many nations. Abraham accepted by faith God’s mercy, in the same way any seed of Abraham could follow him in his faith. The Jews, however, claimed some righteousness in Abraham’s obedience to God (circumcision). Paul will clarify the truth for them.

Heated Debates Between Christianity And Atheism

Often the most heated debates that are encountered in debate environments are those that occur between Christianity followers and Atheists. This article looks at a particular faucet of the conflict between the two groups. The conflict of interest is one that pertains to the certain historical violence that have occurred and their relationship to religion.

The Cost of Discipleship for Muslims

The cost of discipleship for Muslims is extremely excessive. As one fully engaged in inter-faith dialogue with Arab Muslims I speak with many Muslims about various issues such as the history of the Islamic religion, Islamic eschatology, Muslim fasting rules, the Islamic view of God, similarities in Islam and Christianity, Jesus in the Quran, and Islam, Muslim names for God, Jesus’ crucifixion and the Bible.

Biblical Discipleship for Former Muslims

The Biblical discipleship of followers of Christ who come from Muslim backgrounds is a simple, yet profound thing. Most Christians have their own lists of discipleship essentials, but I operate on a very specific and purposed plan of Biblical discipleship modeled after Christ. Many Muslims who dare discuss Islam and Jesus and learn the truths of what is written about Jesus in the Quran often end up…

The Role of Women in Ministry

There are many misinterpretations of one biblical text referring to women in the church – 1 Timothy 2:11-12. For instance, people confuse male/female, husband/wives, and ministry roles and many gender mandates that the apostle Paul had. Besides the cultural underpinning there appears to be a clear example of false teaching regarding the women referred to in 1 Timothy 2:11-12.

Radical Discipleship for Former Muslims

I’ve had the privilege of training men and women in the ways of radical discipleship for former Muslims. Obviously, the details of who and where are private, as many of these individuals’ lives, not to mention the lives of new followers of Christ, would be in grave danger if this info were made public. Radical discipleship for new (Muslim background) followers of Christ is intentionally radical.

Corruption of the Bible

According to many Muslims, the corruption of the Bible is an unquestioned fact. A careful look at the Quran, however, reveals that this is a profound impossibility. I always endeavor to introduce Muslims to Jesus and one of the main ways I do this is by discussing Jesus Christ in the Quran…

Romans 3 Bible Study

Jesus Christ offered his life in exchange for our redemption. We cannot become acceptable to God unless by having faith in Christ.
