Miracle Healing in Christianity
Miracle Healing in Christianity
Christianity is the world’s largest religion. It is based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Today there are over 2.38 billion followers worldwide.
The Bible teaches that salvation is by grace through faith. At the time of salvation, the Holy Spirit is poured into the believer’s soul. As a result, the Christian is energized on high. God will also send the Christian divine healings as he grows in FAITH.
The book of Acts narrates the history of the early church. It shows how God laid the foundation for the church. In the midst of this, apostles went out to preach the gospel. They traveled throughout Palestine, announcing that Christ was risen.
One of the most amazing miracles was the day of Pentecost. On that day, the Spirit of the Eternal was given to Jesus’ followers. These believers were empowered to go forth and perform supernatural work. That work included healing sickness and casting out demons.
In the book of Acts, we see a variety of healings that were performed by the apostles. Some of these were for minor ailments, while others were for more serious conditions. Each of these healings had a deeper purpose.
These people were called to do God’s will, and were given spiritual authority to heal the sick and cast out demons. However, not all of them had the gift of tongues.
Many have claimed to have the gift of healing. However, many of them were caught in chicanery. Most of the healings recorded in the Bible were not for small aches and pains.
